Mark Harvey is the Grandson of the legendary Sir Stewart Gore Brown, who built the enormous English Manor House – Shiwa Ng’andu, in the remote Zambian bush in the early 1920’s.

Mark has been doing Safaris into North Luangwa and the Bangweulu for over 20 years. His amiable manner and wealth of knowledge of the flora, fauna and ways of the wild, have earned him the reputation of being one of Zambia’s finest Guides.

His parents were the first to take safaris into the wild North Luangwa National Park and Mark continues – still one of only 3 companies allowed into the Park.

His wife Mell is originally from London and runs the restaurants both at Kapishya and Buffalo, which are of high international standards. She prides herself on being able to whip up a fantastic meal in the middle of the bush and her specialities are Asian and Fusion dishes.

Their home is at Kapishya Hot Springs, which is a 4 hour drive from  Buffalo camp. Mark accompanies most of the Safaris but is ably assisted by his trained guides when he is booked at Kapishya.

“Northern Zambia is our home and we’d love to share the magnificence of this part of Africa with you.” We guarantee an unforgettable engagement with the wild African bush.

Hope to see you on a safari with us soon! “
