Any Wanderers Parents or Coaches who play golf may be interested in a local golf society, who arrange a number of golf days throughout the year. There are a number of familiar faces from our club who are already on the members list (but don’t let that put you off!)
This year we’re playing some great local courses (incl. Luton Hoo, Brockett Hall & Veralum), and if you play/hack around it’s a great opportunity to get some social golf in when the weather is good. Membership is £20pa, or you can just play as a guest on any of the golf days listed below (membership just allows you to compete for the silverware, and in the singles/doubles competitions if you wish).
There’s a website with more details at http://sites.google.com/site/ovgolfsociety/home
If you are interested, please contact daveboynton@hotmail.com , or follow the links from the society site.

Watch out for Cian Alexander from our U9s, who will be Watford's mascot for their televised FA Cup 4th round match against Tottenham on Friday night.
Proud dad Andy (our Football Development Officer) will be watching from the stands!

Wheathampstead Parish Council have now submitted the planning application for a Pavillion/Clubhouse at Butterfield Road.
The proposed Clubhouse will be on the site of the existing Storage Container, and would comprise a Common Room, Kitchen, Changing Rooms, Showers and Toilets. The structure will be largely screened from view by the existing trees at Butterfield Rd. More details on the status of the application will follow.
If you have any knowledge/experience of either design/architecture/building work, and would be willing to help the club in this Project, please contact your team manager or a committee member.

The Under 16s won the MHRML Premier Division Cup in some style. After going one down in the opening minute the Wanderers stormed back to win 3-1 against a spirited Watton Youth. Congratulations!

We are proud to announce our new Mini-Soccer Awards Scheme, which we believe is a unique offering for Player Development in the 'golden age of learning' from U8 to U10.
The Awards Scheme is focussed on improving technique and skill for all our mini-soccer players. The curriculum is aligned to FA Level 2 materials, and provides coaches with a guideline to delivering age-appropriate training sessions.
See the development section for more details |
