GIRLS FOOTBALL TRAINING

WWFC currently offer mixed football for boys and girls.
Alumni include
  • Anna Patten, who was recently selected for England U17s.
  • Louisa Ellis, who has represented Wanderers in mixed football through to Under 14s, and  also St Albans City Youth Girls in two County Cup finals.
However, we appreciate that mixed football does not usually provide the right environment for girls.

From 10 November dedicated training sessions will be available for 7-14 year old girls on the artificial turf pitch between 5-6pm on a Monday night.  The sessions, led by a coach from St Albans City Youth Football Club (StACy) and supported by WWFC, will initially be free of charge.

Also, if you know a girl in school year 1 that may be interested in fun sessions – we play lots of games like stuck in the mud, grandmothers’ footsteps etc but with a football – please get in contact.  If we can get 7-8 girls who are interested we will look to put on a dedicated session just for them.
