The Sharks ,today, travelled to The Hive, the home of Barnet FC to play Barnet Azzurri.
After a delayed start the game eventually started and after a period of sparring it was
evident that the Sharks were a far better side both individually and as a team than the
Typhoons. Yes, Barnet had a couple of players whose technique was very good but
they rarely troubled Alfie in our goal. Oli , playing up front as opposed to central defence
was a thorn in many a Barnet defenders side whilst Kai's obvious quality was evident.
Sometimes his outrageous skill defies comment and it was no surprise when he opened
the scoring. Cian , at right back, charged forward at will, scored one , had another disallowed
and blazed over when through on goal. Jack,Josh,Oli and Charlie all should have done a lot
better when presented with chances. Occaisionaly a punt from Barnet got through and
Alfie had to make a couple of saves but generally Ben and Matt plus sweeper keeper Alfie
 were in control.
H-T 2-0 to the Sharks who had bossed the game however the 2cnd half was a one sided affair.
Only one more goal was added , with a clinical finish from Josh, but it was very rare indeed when
the ball entered our half. Oli, was now employed as a centre half, Ben went to left back and this
was , without being disrespectful to Barnet, a mismatch as Josh ,Calum,Kai ,Charlie and Ben all
had good chances to add to the tally. I am sure this was just a bad day at the office for Barnet ,this
said, our boys , showed how good they can be when in the mood. Well done boys !!
