As a not-for-profit organisation, we are entirely dependent on a small group of volunteers to run our club and develop our offering. Many of the tasks undertaken do not require any football knowledge at all, and can potentially be tailored to suit the skills and availability of any willing volunteer.
One thing we are particularly keen on is adding a little diversity to our Committee/Volunteer team. We’d like to see more Mums (and yes, we do admit that it’s Mums who can generally get stuff done!), and also more retired people who may want to do something rewarding which really benefits the local community. Maybe Grandad can do more than just cheer the team on a Saturday!
Details of the roles within our club are shown in the table at the bottom of this page. These are by no means exhaustive or set in stone, we can find a role for any willing volunteer who can give any amount of time. All roles are important, but we do feel that the following are our main priorities currently
- Kit & Equipment Officer -(centralise ordering and purchasing of new kit and equipment, primarily pre-season
- Charter Standard Co-ordinator - maintaining our Charter Standard, helping organize Coach Education/Training
- Commercials Officer - Finding, and encouraging others to find, new sponsors
- Volunteer Co-ordinator - help us set up a volunteer network to fund/plan/build our new clubhouse
