Well the Mid Herts throws up some far flung corners . Edgware - a hertfordshire town I was previously unaware of !! , was the latest away trip .
But on a misty , damp November morn - what a great facility . Opened by Fabio Capello , the Hive Centre is the Home of Barnet FC - The pitches were superb .
So with the minimum 11 that we had at our disposal the Sharks started the game strongly against a 9 man Barnet team . Some good finishing saw an early close range goal by Sam Bates and then another long range great strike by Sam - 2 up within 10 minutes and looked good . But !!! the defensive woes we have sufffered this season struck us .
Barnet were beginning to pass through us with some good football and within no time they had got the scores level and started looking a good passing team - they were very good technically - we went behind and although we got one back just before the break , good finish by Jonny  we went in 5-3 down -
The second half we looked on edge everytime they broke and within afew minutes they broke through on goal and scored . It has to be said now that Cameron , who was in goal , was outstanding in goal for the second time this season !!! without him we would have gone further behind - he made at least 5 superb saves .
At the end of the game we lost quite convincingly 9-3 against 9 players
Barnet Azzuri are a good team and we found it hard to compete with them - yes we missed Cameron on the pitch - but he was superb in goal - Sam had a great display up front - two good goals . It was a tough old day and highlights that some of the newer teams we are now up against have made the league much stronger .
We are up against our old mates from Hertford next week - familiar territory and lets hope we can return to a strong performance !
Team - Harvie , Pei Zhe , Holst , Hamblin , Card , Harvey , Moore , Devine , Bates , Shaw , Blount

Scorers - Bates ( 2) and Moore
MoM - Harvie
