What could be better than being greeted with a pleasant spring morning, the prospect of some more exciting football and lugging some goals half way across Hertfordshire before we could get started. At least we don't have to do the latter every week!
Patrick F and Ollie P arrived at the last minute following a (lack of) sleep over but contributed to a decent start. James soon scored. We're not sure if it was a shot or a cross but it was definitely a goal! But before the ink was dry Latymer equalised from a short corner. Having the better of the half the Tigers found the home keeper on top form. However, even he was powerless to prevent a Robbie thunderbolt making it 2-1 on the stroke of half time.
James, a worthy man of the match, almost added another shortly after the break before unleashing another great strike to make it 3-1. His boots were so hot we were starting to look for a fire extinguisher. But before the ink was dry the home side applied their own dampner! Ollie B, rounding the keeper to score, settled porceedings before another bullet from Robbie at the end sealed a fine 5-2 win.
A nice day out!
