Todays opposition was Wodson Park, a team that the Sharks had very  disappointing performances against last season and it looked after 5 minutes today that it was going to be much of the same as Wodson Park took the lead
with a well taken goal that Adam could do nothing about. However the Sharks gradually got into their stride and then the introduction of Charlie Hodder, in the unfamiliar role of centre midfield , meant that the Sharks started to take complete control with a display of quality "carpet" football.  Kai was causing the Wodson defence no end of headaches with his pace and power and was unlucky with a couple of chances. Josh was using his pace on the right flank and the Wodson Gk had to be on his toes as Josh tried his luck with a couple of rasping drives. Cian hit an effort wide following good work from Charlie and the first half was all one way traffic except for the opening 6 or 7 minutes however a goal would not come. H-T 0-1
The second half started in much the same fashion with constant Shark pressure whilst Wodson struggled to get out of their half. Not only were the Sharks applying pressure but the manner in which they were playing ,switching play  building from the back and quick combinations was pleasing on the eye. Finally , following good work from Kai, an equaliser from Charlie with a good shot . The Sharks contunued to play well and dominated until the last 5 or 6 minutes when Wodson Park came into the game and started to cause a few problems of their own however Adam was always in control. Final whistle 1-1 and a performance against Wodson Park where the Sharks did themselves
justice. Lastly , a goal and MOM to Charlie who was inspired!.
